Bethke Summer Academy
UPDATE: for the summer of 2013, Bethke will not be doing a school sponsored summer academy, instead, Science Matters will do their amazing science day-camp program here at our school. Link to Science Matters (all registration is done throught them)
--------------------###-------------------
Each summer Bethke Elementary School is pleased to offer a week of Summer Academy which is full of exciting enrichment activities for students entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades. Parents can enroll their child for a half-day or full-day program. (Students going into 6th grade are eligible to attend Preston's STEM Institute)
The summer academy is an extension of our school’s vision to prepare children for success in the 21st Century world. The Bethke Summer Academy will provide a rich and entertaining summer-time learning experience and each class is led by a talented educator who is passionate about the subject they are teaching -- which makes for a lot of fun and excitement for your child.
Classes are structured so that children have the opportunity to explore, experience, and expand areas of interests. Our classes balance science, technology and the arts to help your child develop and strengthen current interests, as well as plant seeds for future academic and extracurricular pursuits. With hands-on involvement in a nurturing environment, we provide a wide range of encounters where children “do”.
The enrollment is limited to just Bethke students until February 29th. After that the enrollment is open to all students. We anticipate that classes will fill quickly so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.
Please Note: In each class space is limited and classes fill fast. Registration does not guarantee participation. Your $50 deposit is non-refundable after April 30th. The remaining balance is due May15th. Make checks payable to Bethke Elementary School. We reserve the right to cancel or change classes depending on enrollment -- you will be notified of any changes. You will receive confirmation of enrollment by March 15th.
