Bethke PTO Pledge

The costs for activities such as field trips, student enrichment, social events, and staff appreciation are typically not covered by a schools' annual budget.  In many school systems, parents are asked to donate money throughout the year to cover these expenses; at other schools students cover the costs by selling goods door to door. 

At Bethke, we believe providing these services and opportunities to students is part of a rich educational experience but we also want to focus our students on education and family - not selling.  To meet these objectives, Bethke has implemented an Annual Pledge Program which has proven to be a successful approach.

Why is Bethke doing a
Pledge Drive?
Parents have overwhelmingly indicated a desire for a pledge system (as opposed to student based selling or event based donations) to fund supplemental activities and programs at Bethke.
How will my pledge dollars be used?
Unlike selling campaigns, 100% of  your pledge dollars go directly to Bethke Students and programs.  You can view the current approved PTO budget at www.bethkeelementary.com
How much should our family pledge?
$100 per student is the suggested amount based on research from other PSD schools' pledge drives, participation rates, and our own PTO budget goal.  We are striving for 100% participation, so we ask Bethke families to give whatever amount they feel comfortable giving.  EVERY pledge dollar donation, no matter what the amount,, brings us closer to meeting our PTO budget and achieving our goal of 100% participation.
How do I make a donation?
Donations can be made via check, payable to Bethke Elementary PTO.  Please send it in a sealed envelope marked Bethke Pledge to the main office or mail to Bethke Elementary c/o PTO Pledge 5100 School House Drive, Timnath, CO  80547.  If you have any questions please contact one of the PTO officers.
